How far is our office from Castle Hills?
Nine miles, give or take, and most of it on highway. Castle Hills is a small city inside Loop 410 on the north central side, between Northwest Military Hwy and West Ave. Our office is north of Loop 1604 in Stone Oak, on Hardy Oak Blvd between Huebner Rd and Stone Oak Pkwy, roughly a mile west of US 281.

So the drive is a loop and a highway. You get onto Loop 410 from either Northwest Military Hwy or West Ave, ride it east to US 281, and take 281 north past 1604. Fifteen minutes with the lanes clear. Twenty when 281 is doing what 281 does at 5:30 PM.
Same-day emergency dental care for Castle Hills patients
When you call from Castle Hills during office hours, our front desk picks up and holds you an appointment the same day. We see walk-ins as well. A call from the car while you're still on Lockhill Selma Rd gives us a head start on getting a room ready.
An exam and diagnostic X-rays open the visit. Our dentists diagnose, explain what they found and write the treatment price down for you before anything else happens. Where the diagnosis permits, the treatment itself happens right then, in the same chair.
Students at LEE High School, Antonian College Preparatory High School or the International School of the Americas break teeth on balls, railings and water bottles. A chipped tooth, a lost filling or a knocked-out tooth gets a same-day visit here. For a knocked-out tooth, hold it by the crown and keep it moist in milk on the drive up.
Severe facial swelling that is spreading, trouble breathing or swallowing, or a jaw injury from a hard impact goes to a hospital emergency room first. Methodist Stone Oak Hospital and North Central Baptist Hospital are both in Stone Oak, near our office, and we see you for the tooth once the hospital has done its part.
Open Saturdays and Sundays for Castle Hills
The office is open Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, with our dentists treating patients in the chair, not just answering the phone. A tooth that cracks at a Saturday cookout in Windsor Park or Aggie Park can be examined that same afternoon. A Sunday toothache doesn't have to be managed until Monday.
Weeknights run to 8:00 PM too. After that, a live person answers our phone, takes your name and number, and 8:00 AM the next morning becomes your appointment. Nobody is treating patients at the office overnight; the next chair time is 8:00 AM. Our weekend emergency dentist page covers what helps in the meantime.
What an emergency dental visit costs for Castle Hills patients
The emergency exam and diagnostic X-rays are $125, on a weekday, a Saturday or a Sunday evening. Treatment costs extra, always, and that figure reaches you in writing before you commit.
Cash, cards and most major PPO plans are all accepted. Have your insurance card with you if you're covered. Exam, then quote, then treatment: that sequence is described in detail on the cost and insurance page, including payment.
