We're open today. Our Stone Oak office sees emergency patients the same day, every day of the week, from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Call (210) 807-8793 for a time, or walk in at 18911 Hardy Oak Blvd Ste 221, San Antonio, TX 78258, about a mile north of Loop 1604. When the tooth allows it, our dentists fix the problem during that first visit.
The visit starts with a $125 emergency exam and diagnostic X-rays.
The $125 covers the emergency exam and diagnostic X-rays. Any treatment is a separate fee, quoted to you in writing before any work starts.

Walk-in dentist in San Antonio: how today works
You have two ways in, and both work. Call first, tell the front desk what's wrong, and we give you a time today. Or skip the call and walk in. We'd rather you phone ahead, since that gives the front desk time to set up a room, but a person standing at the desk with a swollen cheek gets seen either way.

Once you're here, the order is always the same. Our dentist looks the tooth over, then takes diagnostic X-rays. You hear what's wrong and what the choices are. The price for the treatment is written down for you. If you agree, the work starts in the same chair, the same day, for the problems listed below.
Dental problems we treat the same day
Nothing on this list gets sent somewhere else. Our dentists handle all of it in our own office on Hardy Oak Blvd.
- A toothache that's gone from annoying to sleepless
- A broken or chipped tooth, whether it hurts yet or not
- A tooth that needs to come out: emergency tooth extraction, simple or surgical
- An infected nerve that needs an emergency root canal
- A dental abscess, including swelling in the jaw or cheek
- A knocked-out tooth, which has the shortest clock of all
- Wisdom tooth pain and, when needed, wisdom tooth extraction
- A lost filling or crown, cemented back in place or made new
Some problems take one visit. A few take two, usually when a tooth needs time to settle before the final step. Our dentist tells you which one you're looking at before anything starts.
Is there a dentist open now?
Between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM, yes, and that's true on Saturday and Sunday too. The hours don't shrink on weekends. A Sunday afternoon toothache gets a Sunday afternoon exam.
Before 8am or after 8pm, the office is closed but the phone isn't. A live answering service picks up (210) 807-8793 24/7, so after closing you still reach a person. Give them your name, a callback number and a few words about what's going on, and the first 8am opening gets held in your name. One exception: if it's midnight and swelling has started to interfere with breathing or swallowing, the emergency room at Methodist Stone Oak Hospital or North Central Baptist Hospital comes first. Call us once the sun is up.
What a same-day dental visit costs in San Antonio
The exam and diagnostic X-rays are $125, and that part of the price doesn't change with the problem. The treatment is a separate fee. Our dentist writes it down after the X-rays, and you read it before you decide. Treatment prices aren't posted here for a simple reason: identical pain can come from very different problems, and the X-ray is what sorts one from the other.
Cash and most major PPO plans are both accepted, and you can pay with cash or a major credit or debit card. From the first X-ray to the written price, the cost and insurance page lays the process out in order.

Frequently asked questions
Do I have to call before walking in?
No. You can walk in any day between 8am and 8pm without calling. A call ahead isn't required, but it helps: the front desk can have a room ready and tell you if there's anything to bring. If you're already on 1604 and driving, just come.
Will the tooth be fixed today, or only looked at?
Both, for most problems. First comes the exam with X-rays, then a written price from our dentist, and in most cases treatment follows in the same visit. A small number of cases need a second visit to finish, and you'll know that before anything starts.
What should I bring to a same-day visit?
Bring a photo ID. Bring the insurance card too, if you're on a PPO plan, plus the names of any medicines you're taking. A knocked-out tooth should come with you, kept moist and cool in the heat. A crown that fell off should come too, even in pieces. Everything else we handle here.
Are you open today if today is a holiday?
Our posted hours are 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, seven days a week. If you're unsure about a specific day, call (210) 807-8793. A person answers 24/7 and can tell you exactly when the next opening is.
