How far is our office from Encino Park?
About four miles. The office is at 18911 Hardy Oak Blvd Ste 221, San Antonio, TX 78258, on Hardy Oak Blvd between Huebner Rd and Stone Oak Pkwy, a mile west of 281 and a mile north of 1604. Encino Park, in 78259 and 78260, is close enough that the whole drive fits inside a quarter hour in normal traffic.

Tuscany Heights Elementary, Roan Forest Elementary, Tejeda Middle School and Johnson High School all fall inside that 10 to 14 minute range. If you take Stone Oak Pkwy, you'll pass the H-E-B plus! and the Target near 281 before the turn onto Hardy Oak Blvd. Stone Oak Park is near our office as well, which helps if you're following landmarks instead of a map.
Same-day emergency dental care for Encino Park patients
A molar that split while you were eating breakfast off TPC Pkwy can be in our chair this morning. Our dentists hold time every day for emergencies, so a call gets you a same-day appointment and the front desk gets a room ready. No call? Walk in anyway; phoning first only shortens the wait.
Once you arrive, the exam and X-rays come first, followed by a clear explanation and a written price for whatever the tooth needs. If the diagnosis allows it, treatment happens right then. A broken tooth is rebuilt or crowned. A lost filling or crown is replaced. When nothing can save the tooth, our dentists take it out here, by emergency extraction, simple or surgical. Your PPO card and the names of any medications you take are worth bringing.
Open Saturdays and Sundays for Encino Park
Saturday and Sunday run on the same clock as the rest of the week: 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, with our dentists in the office both days. A crown that pops off during Sunday service at Summit Church can be looked at that same afternoon. A kid who chips a front tooth on Saturday at Stone Oak Park doesn't have to wait until Monday morning. We're also open until 8:00 PM every weeknight, so an evening visit after work on 281 is realistic.
Already past 8:00 PM? Call anyway. The line is answered by a live person who notes who you are and what's wrong, and your name goes on the 8:00 AM opening. A hospital comes first for a short list of things: a face that's swelling up to the eye, a neck that's swelling and tightening, breathing or swallowing that feels blocked, or a jaw you suspect is broken. Methodist Stone Oak Hospital and North Central Baptist Hospital are the emergency rooms nearest our office. The weekend emergency dentist page explains how Saturday and Sunday visits go.
What an emergency dental visit costs for Encino Park patients
You pay $125 for the emergency exam and diagnostic X-rays. That fee buys the diagnosis. The treatment carries its own price, which you'll see on paper before a single thing is done, so the total is never a guess.
Cash and cards are accepted, along with most major PPO plans. Exam, diagnosis, written quote: the cost and insurance page takes each step in turn.

Emergency dental services for Encino Park families
Severe toothache relief means our dentists find the reason for the pain and treat it, not only cover it up for a day. Cheek swollen from a dental abscess? It gets drained, and the tooth behind it treated, during the same visit. A knocked-out tooth from a Johnson High School game can often be replanted if it's kept moist and reaches us within the hour; carry it in milk, not a tissue, and keep it out of the heat. An emergency root canal is done here when the nerve is infected, and the same team handles wisdom tooth pain, including urgent wisdom tooth removal.
Among the eight neighborhoods our service area page describes, Encino Park is one of the closer ones.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a dentist open on Saturday near Encino Park?
Yes. We're open Saturday 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, about 10 to 14 minutes from Encino Park at 18911 Hardy Oak Blvd Ste 221 in Stone Oak. A Saturday visit looks like a weekday visit: exam, X-rays, then treatment. Call (210) 807-8793 on the way, or walk in and we'll fit you in.
How long does it take to reach you on a weekday evening?
Plan on 10 to 14 minutes in normal traffic by either route, Stone Oak Pkwy straight through or Evans Rd to 281. Rush hour on 281 can add a few minutes, which is one reason we stay open until 8:00 PM. Call when you leave and the front desk will know roughly when to expect you.
My teenager's wisdom tooth hurts. Can it come out today?
Frequently it can. Our dentists start with X-rays to see how the tooth sits and where its roots run. If a safe removal is possible that day, you get the written price and, with your okay, we proceed. If it needs more planning, we say so plainly and schedule the next visit.
