How far is our office from Hollywood Park?
About three miles, which works out to 7 to 10 minutes. We're at 18911 Hardy Oak Blvd Ste 221, San Antonio, TX 78258, on Hardy Oak Blvd a mile north of Loop 1604 and a mile west of US 281. Hollywood Park lies south of 1604 along the 281 corridor, so the whole trip is a short hop up the north side.

From Voigt Park or Hollywood Park City Hall, Voigt Dr or Mecca Dr takes you out to Stone Oak Pkwy; from there it's east to E Sonterra Blvd and on to Hardy Oak Blvd. From the homes near Saint Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church or Oak Haven Baptist Church, San Pedro Ave is the other way to go: it runs as the 281 frontage north to 1604. If you know the H-E-B at Loop 1604 and US 281, we're about a mile from it. Mind the deer on the way out of town; they don't care that you're in a hurry.
Same-day emergency dental care for Hollywood Park patients
Emergency patients from Hollywood Park are seen the day they call, seven days a week. Phone ahead and the front desk holds a room; show up without calling and we fit you in as a walk-in. Either way our own dentists treat you in our own office, exam through treatment.
What happens first is the exam and the diagnostic X-rays. Then you get a straight answer about what's going on and a written price for fixing it. Many problems are handled in the same sitting: a severe toothache traced to its cause and settled, an emergency root canal for a nerve that's infected, or, for a tooth past saving, an emergency extraction, whether simple or surgical.
Open Saturdays and Sundays for Hollywood Park
Weekend hours match weekday hours: 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, both Saturday and Sunday. If a filling falls out during a Saturday picnic at Voigt Park, there's no reason to nurse it until Monday. Drive up and we'll look at it that afternoon. Evenings work the same way. We're open until 8:00 PM every night, so after-work and after-school visits fit.
Past 8:00 PM the phone still rings through to a live answering service. Tell them who you are, where to reach you and what hurts; the first 8:00 AM opening is yours. Some problems shouldn't wait for us at all. If one side of your face is puffing up toward the eye, if swallowing or breathing feels tight, or if you think the jaw itself is fractured, head to a hospital tonight. Methodist Stone Oak Hospital and North Central Baptist Hospital are the closest emergency rooms to our office, both in Stone Oak. Our weekend and after-hours page says more about getting through the overnight stretch.
What an emergency dental visit costs for Hollywood Park patients
$125 is the fee for the emergency exam and diagnostic X-rays. Treatment is never folded into that number. After the diagnosis, and before anything is done, you're handed a written price for that specific procedure. Going ahead is your call.
Pay with cash or a card; most major PPO plans are accepted too. The cost and insurance page shows the sequence in order: exam, diagnosis, written quote.

Emergency dental services for Hollywood Park families
A dental abscess that puffed up overnight is drained and treated the same day, with the source of the infection dealt with rather than postponed. A chipped or broken tooth from a bike spill near Memorial Park, over the line in Hill Country Village, gets smoothed, rebuilt or crowned depending on the depth of the break. A knocked-out tooth can often go back in if it stays moist and reaches us quickly; in July heat, a cup of milk in the cupholder is the way to carry it. Wisdom tooth pain, wisdom tooth extraction and a lost filling or crown are handled here as well, by the same dentists.
Hollywood Park is the nearest of the neighborhoods on our service area page, which also covers Bulverde at the far end.
Frequently asked questions
Do you see Hollywood Park patients on Sunday?
Yes, about ten minutes up the road. Sunday hours at 18911 Hardy Oak Blvd Ste 221 run 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, no different from a weekday, and Sunday patients are examined, X-rayed and treated on the spot like anyone else. Call (210) 807-8793 when you leave Hollywood Park and we'll have a room set up.
Do I need an appointment, or can I drive over?
Drive over. Walk-ins are welcome every day of the week. A quick call first shortens your wait, but it isn't required. Photo ID, PPO card and a medication list are the three things worth grabbing on the way out the door.
My tooth is throbbing at 10:00 PM. Who answers the phone?
A real person. Between 8:00 PM and 8:00 AM, calls route to a live answering service. They note your details, and the first 8:00 AM appointment is reserved for you. Until morning, a cold pack held against the cheek and over-the-counter pain relief, used as the label says, usually take the edge off.
