Where in Stone Oak is the office?
We're at 18911 Hardy Oak Blvd Ste 221, San Antonio, TX 78258, on Hardy Oak Blvd roughly a mile north of 1604 and a mile west of 281, between Huebner Rd and Stone Oak Pkwy. Methodist Stone Oak Hospital, North Central Baptist Hospital and Stone Oak Park are near us.

If your address is in 78258, 78259 or 78260, the drive is under ten minutes. Families near Reagan High School or Bush Middle School come down Stone Oak Pkwy; from Canyon Ridge Elementary or the Encino Library, Evans Rd and 281 bring you to the Stone Oak Pkwy exit. You'll find parking on site.
Same-day emergency dental care for Stone Oak patients
A toothache that woke you at five this morning gets looked at today. So does the molar that cracked on a tortilla chip at lunch. Our dentists keep time open every day for emergencies, and a call ahead lets the front desk hold a room. Walk-ins are welcome too.
X-rays and the exam come first. Then one of our dentists sits down with you and explains, in plain English, what's wrong and what we'd do about it. Where the diagnosis allows, the fix happens in that same chair, that same day: an emergency root canal to rescue an infected tooth, or an emergency extraction (simple or surgical) for one past rescuing. Lost fillings and crowns are replaced on the spot. If you carry a PPO card, bring it, along with a note of any medications you take.
Open Saturdays and Sundays for Stone Oak
Saturday and Sunday are full chairside days, 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, the same as Monday through Friday. A tooth that breaks during a Saturday game at Classen-Steubing Ranch Park, or an abscess that swells up Sunday morning, does not have to wait for the work week. Every evening runs until 8:00 PM, late enough for a visit after work or after practice.
The phone line itself never closes. From 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM a live answering service takes the call and your symptoms, and the earliest appointment the next morning, 8:00 AM, is held in your name. One exception to "come straight to us": a face swelling up toward the eye, a throat that's hard to breathe or swallow through, or a jaw that took a hard hit. Those belong at a hospital before they belong in our chair, and Methodist Stone Oak Hospital and North Central Baptist Hospital are both right here in Stone Oak. Our weekend emergency dentist page goes into more detail about Saturday and Sunday visits.
What an emergency dental visit costs for Stone Oak patients
The emergency exam and diagnostic X-rays are $125. Once the exam is done, you get the diagnosis and a price on paper for whatever the tooth needs. Nothing begins until you've read that paper and said yes.
We take cash, cards and most major PPO plans; the cost and insurance page spells out each step from exam to written quote.

Emergency dental services for Stone Oak families
Our dentists handle every one of these at our Hardy Oak Blvd office; we don't send patients elsewhere. Severe toothache relief starts with finding the cause. A dental abscess is drained and treated the day you come in. Chip a tooth on the trail at Saddle Mountain Park and our dentists smooth it, rebuild it or crown it, depending on how deep the damage runs (broken tooth repair). A knocked-out tooth that stays wet, stays cool and gets to us inside an hour can often be replanted; in August heat that means a cup of milk riding in the cupholder, not a napkin. Wisdom tooth pain gets X-rays and an answer the day you call, and an emergency wisdom tooth extraction happens here when needed.

Frequently asked questions
Can I get a Sunday emergency appointment in Stone Oak?
Yes, and on Sunday the office runs exactly like a Tuesday: 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM on Hardy Oak Blvd, exam and X-rays first, treatment the same afternoon where the diagnosis allows. Call (210) 807-8793 from the car, or walk in. Phone after 8:00 PM and the person who answers will reserve the 8:00 AM time for you.
Can I walk in without calling first?
You can. Walk-ins are welcome every day we're open, which is all seven. Calling ahead shortens your wait, but if you're already in the car on Stone Oak Pkwy, come straight over. Have your photo ID handy, and your PPO card if you're insured.
My child knocked out a tooth at Stone Oak Park. What do I do?
Handle it by the crown end, not the root. Dirty? Swish it briefly in cool water, skip the scrubbing, and drop it into a cup of milk. Then call us and drive over; the park is under ten minutes away. Don't try to reinsert a baby tooth, but still come in so our dentists can check the gum and the neighboring teeth.
